Privacy Policy

Last Updated & Effective Date: October 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to PingStag ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and share your data when you use our infrastructure monitoring platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using PingStag, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimal amount of information strictly necessary to provide our high-frequency monitoring services safely and efficiently. The data we collect falls into the following categories:

  • Account & Profile Data: Email address, full name, and profile avatar provided during registration. If you authenticate via third-party providers (like Google), we securely receive your basic profile data.
  • Infrastructure & Monitoring Data: IP addresses, endpoint URLs, specific TCP ports, API JSON payloads, Auth Headers, and Webhook URLs that you explicitly input into our dashboard to be monitored.
  • Contact Data: Phone numbers and country codes provided strictly for dispatching Meta WhatsApp incident routing alerts.
  • Automated Diagnostic Data: Standard server logs, browser types, and IP addresses used to access our dashboard, strictly for security audits and preventing DDoS attacks on our own platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

PingStag uses the collected data for the following essential operational purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the PingStag dashboard and global edge monitoring nodes.
  • To dispatch critical infrastructure alerts (downtime, SSL expiry, Domain expiry) via your chosen channels (Email, Slack Webhooks, WhatsApp).
  • To securely process payments. Our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, handles all billing and payment transactions. PingStag does not process, view, or store credit card details.
  • To communicate with you regarding service updates, maintenance windows, and security alerts.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

PingStag's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell, rent, or share your Google user data with unauthorized third parties.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We do not sell or monetize your personal data. We only share necessary data fragments with highly secure, GDPR-compliant third-party infrastructure providers required to operate our service. These sub-processors include:

  • Secure Cloud Hosting & Database providers (for storing latency logs and account states).
  • Meta Cloud APIs and Twilio (strictly for dispatching WhatsApp and SMS downtime alerts).
  • Lemon Squeezy (our exclusive Merchant of Record for subscription management and tax compliance).

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

PingStag uses strictly essential cookies required for user authentication, security validation, and session management. We do not use intrusive third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking mechanisms on our operational dashboard. Your privacy remains uncompromised while monitoring your servers.

7. Data Rights & Account Deletion (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or permanently delete your personal data at any time. Under GDPR and CCPA regulations, you hold full control over your infrastructure data footprint on our platform.

How to Delete Your Account:

To request the complete and permanent deletion of your account, billing ties, and all historical monitoring logs, please visit our dedicated deletion portal. Manual verification is required to prevent unauthorized infrastructure data loss.

8. International Data Transfers

PingStag is a globally distributed service. Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with our sub-processors.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
